Storage Giant realise their environmental targets with solar PV installations at nine of their self-storage sites

Harvest Green Developments have delivered installations of solar panels for self-storage provider, Storage Giant, across nine separate sites, which follows on from a previous renewable energy project rollout that was completed earlier in 2015. Each of the nine sites, has enough Tier 1 solar panels installed to the available roof space to generate just under 30kW, totalling an impressive 270kW collectively for the company. Covering facilities at Bicester, Bristol, Cannock TH, Cannock U5, Cwmbran, Llanelli, Newport, Swansea, and Telford, Storage Giant’s investment into sustainable energy now sees a significant reduction to their energy bills, as well as, helping to achieve their environmental targets.

Storage Giant are a leading provider in affordable and convenient self-storage facilities, with multiple sites across South Wales and West England.

Technology

All of the solar arrays installed for Storage Giant use module-level optimisation technology from SolarEdge, which allows remote monitoring of the system to track the performance of individual solar panels. This allows a more detailed view of the system to ensure it is always generating as it should be. The Tier 1 solar panels are supplied by Hanwha Q Cells, with mounting kit provided by S:Flex & Alumero.
