Krempel UK Ltd’s sustainability target takes shape with an additional 900kWp of renewable energy

Read the case study

Manufacturer Krempel UK Ltd continue to invest in renewable energy across their UK sites with their latest solar PV installation in Longridge

In June 2024, Harvest Green Developments commissioned a second solar PV installation for Krempel UK Ltd, which generates 900kW of renewable energy for their manufacturing facility in Longridge, Preston. This further adds to the original 365.40kW solar array that we previously installed to the rooftop of their Bideford site in December 2023.

Since 1923 Krempel UK Ltd have manufactured a wide range of electrical insulation materials, which are supplied globally to the energy, automotive, and industry sectors. The Longridge facility covers over 25,000sqm with a mixture of flat and pitched rooftops, which provides enough space to fill with enough solar panels to power the manufacturing facility.

Technology

This 900kWp solar PV installation consists of 2064 Tier 1 solar panels supplied by Trina Solar, module-level optimised inverter technology from SolarEdge, and a mixture of flat and pitched mounting kits supplied by Rubicon UK and Van Der Valk.
