These new systems will sit along side earlier solar installations to increase the site’s overall solar capacity to 2.5MW. For optimal mounting, Rubicon UK’s mounting kits were selected, which are specifically designed for trapezoidal roofing sheets and provide robust and secure fixing without compromising the integrity of the roof. With stringent energy export restrictions imposed by the local Distribution Network Operator, UK Power Networks, export limitation devices have been incorporated into the design to meet these requirements.
To ensure comprehensive insights into energy production and consumption, FW Mansfields’ solar plant is now fully equipped with advanced metering capabilities provided and supported by Juggle Energy. This technology allows the team to remotely monitor how much electricity is generated, consumed on-site, and exported to the grid.
