Harvest Green Developments at Energy Technology Live: A look back at the event

Last week, our team – Sam, Greg, James, and Amy – attended and exhibited at Energy Technology Live at The NEC, Birmingham. This annual event brings together energy executives, engineers, industry leaders, and the wider supply chain, all working towards a cleaner, more sustainable, and flexible energy future.

Showcasing innovation in solar and storage

Energy Technology Live provided a fantastic platform for businesses and manufacturers to showcase cutting-edge innovation in the solar and battery storage sector. As businesses increasingly seek ways to enhance corporate social responsibility and mitigate rising electricity costs, this event was a key opportunity to explore solutions that drive both sustainability and financial savings.

Thought-provoking panel discussions and speakers

A key highlight of the event was the series of panel discussions and speakers across multiple Theatre stages. These sessions provided invaluable insights into commercial sustainability and the considerations businesses should factor into their renewable energy strategies.

We were delighted to participate in one such panel on the second day. James Clifford from Harvest Green Developments joined Francesca Shirley from VEST Energy and Kyle Tumelty from Joulen to discuss Scaling Solar and Batteries: Making Mass Market Adoption a Reality. The panel, led by Ed Porter from Modo Energy, addressed frequently asked questions about solar and battery storage solutions. While some audience questions were not addressed live, they have agreed to conclude the discussion via a virtual panel – stay tuned for updates via our LinkedIn page on when this will be hosted.

Networking and industry collaboration

As with all industry events, Energy Technology Live was a great opportunity to reconnect with existing suppliers, partners, and industry contacts. A special thank you to Huawei – our Senior Channel Manager, Ray Yue, joined us at our stand, showcasing a Huawei inverter and demonstrating its capabilities to attendees.

Beyond reconnecting with familiar faces, we had insightful discussions with new contacts exploring ways to integrate renewable energy into their operations. Whether looking to scale solar energy output or understand financing options like Capex, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), or Asset Finance, we had meaningful conversations that we’re eager to follow up on.
