Enovert Energy Park: powering ahead with promising site progress

As we dive deeper into the exciting development of Enovert Energy Park, we are thrilled to report that significant strides have been made at our Gloucester site. The installation of pile ground mounted framework is now well underway, marking a pivotal moment in transforming this former landfill into a state-of-the-art solar energy park capable of generating 2.116MW of clean, renewable energy.

In our previous updates, we outlined how this ambitious project aims to repurpose the land while delivering substantial environmental benefits. With the successful installation of the mounting kit, we are well on our way to fulfilling this vision. The pile system serves as the foundational support for the solar panels, anchoring them securely in place and ensuring their optimal functionality amidst the unique ground conditions of the former landfill site.

Engineering excellence meets environmental considerations

Prior to construction, our team meticulously investigated the site’s ground conditions, which posed numerous challenges due to its landfill history. Such assessments were vital to ensure the stability and integrity of the future solar installation. We are proud to report that the groundwork laid out in these assessments has directly contributed to the success of the pile framework installation.

Our design team employed advanced technology and innovative methods to install the piles efficiently and safely. The use of high-quality materials guarantees the longevity and durability of the structure, which is essential for maximising energy generation in the years to come. Each stage of this process reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility and safety, which are core principles at Harvest Green Developments.

A bright future with renewable energy

With the solar PV installation expected to produce approximately 2,140,771 kWh of clean electricity annually, the Enovert Energy Park will substantially contribute to reducing their carbon footprint, which is anticipated to be a saving of 293,268kg of carbon emissions each year. This transition into renewable energy aligns perfectly with national and global sustainability goals. That equates to removing about 130 fossil-fuelled cars from the road annually, an impactful statistic that we are incredibly proud to share.

As the piled framework provides the platform for the 4,032 Tier 1 solar panels from Longi Solar, we are excited to see the next steps come into play. These solar modules, along with the 16 dependable Solis inverters, will harness sunlight effectively and efficiently. The integration of advanced technology from trusted partners ensures that every part of the system works harmoniously, reflecting our unwavering dedication to sustainability and renewable energy.

Unlocking green potential through important partnerships

Collaboration has been the heartbeat of the Enovert Energy Park development. Our partnership with Enovert, local authorities, and various stakeholders demonstrates our collective commitment to environmental best practices and regulatory compliance. The seamless interaction between all parties involved has ensured that we are on track to meet our ambitious timeline, with construction expected to conclude by December 2024.

We are committed to maintaining rigorous standards of quality, safety, and environmental leadership throughout the construction phase. Skilled professionals in the field are engaged to oversee installations, ensuring that every component meets our high-quality benchmarks, which includes ground mount installation specialists from Tillott Renewable Contracting.

Our Project Manager, Adrian Hill has said:

“I’m thrilled to see the Enovert Energy Park project come to life, and I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made so far. The successful installation of the mounting kit is a testament to our team’s dedication to delivering high-quality results. I’ve really enjoyed leading this project so far and I’m excited to see it continue to take shape in the coming months.

As we celebrate this significant milestone with the successful installation of the piled framework, we invite you to stay tuned for more updates. Together, we are pioneering a new chapter in the story of renewable energy, transforming underutilised land into flourishing solar parks.
