Harvest Green Developments is excited to announce our upcoming solar PV installation at MTS Cleaning Services Ltd , which will include a commercial battery storage solution. Based in Kent, MTS Cleansing Services are a leading provider of comprehensive waste management services and products. This new sustainability initiative aims to enhance their energy efficiency, even after sunset, by leveraging the powerful advantages of commercial battery storage.
By incorporating battery storage technology into this solar PV installation, MTS Cleansing Services will be able to store energy generated by the solar panels for later use. This means that even when the sun isn’t shining, the company can rely on the stored electricity to power their operations, significantly reducing their dependence on energy imported from traditional and costly grid suppliers. The 229kWh/100kW battery will be supplied by Soundon New Energy and coupled with efficient inverter technology provided by Solis to generate a total capacity of 433.44kW of clean electricity. 1,032 Tier 1 solar panels supplied by Trina Solar will be used within the design and securely fixed to the facility’s rooftop with the high-quality trapezoidal mounting system from our trusted partner Rubicon UK.
Projected to generate an impressive 383,000kWh of renewable electricity per year, this solar PV installation will see MTS Cleansing Services use just over 50% of the solar energy and their carbon emissions slashed by 74,231kg per year. The remaining 50% of energy that is produced from the solar arrays will first be directed to fill the battery storage, before being exported back to the grid suppliers, creating an additional revenue stream for MTS Cleansing Services. This innovative approach not only reinforces MTS Cleansing Services’ serious commitment to sustainability but also allows them to earn lucrative financial returns from their investment in renewable energy. This is of course, on top of the substantial savings they will receive from lower energy bills!
Construction of the solar PV installation and commercial battery storage solution is set to commence in July 2023, with commissioning expected to happen in September 2023. This timeline will pave the way for MTS Cleansing Services to start reaping the huge financial benefits of their sustainable energy investment swiftly.
